Hey, all --

I wanted to let you know that I'm planning on retiring from work in the public hacking scene.

Atmosphere (and my work on the Switch) have been an enormous labor of love for me for the past eight and a half years, and it's been an honor for me to dedicate so much of my life towards this kind of work.

That said, I am getting older. I find myself with less time to dedicate towards it, more responsibilities, and a changing personal life.

Particularly with my hoping to have kids in a foreseeable time horizon, I'm thinking I have to re-evaluate how much time I can spend on hobby projects.

I have the kind of personality that doesn't want to put in only a little work; I think that less-than-a-full retirement would likely lead to no actual changes in the time I put in.

I've truly appreciated getting to work with so many talented people (many of whom have been close friends for so many years), and I appreciate everyone's understanding as I try to transition to the next phase of my life.

我想跟大家说，我计划从公开的pj领域退休了。

过去八年半里，Atmosphere pj系统（以及我在任天堂 Switch 上的相关研究）于我而言，都是倾注了全部热爱的心血之作。能将人生的大量时光投入这份事业，于我是莫大的荣幸。

但如今，我年岁渐长，能投入其中的时间越来越少，身上的责任愈发繁重，个人生活也在发生诸多变化。

尤其是我希望在可预见的未来生儿育女，这让我不得不重新考量，还能为这类爱好项目付出多少时间。

我的性格本就不喜欢浅尝辄止；我知道，若只是半退不退，我投入的时间其实不会有任何实质性的改变。

能与这么多才华出众的伙伴共事，我满心感激（他们中许多人早已成为我多年的挚友）。也感谢大家理解我此刻的选择，让我能顺利步入人生的下一阶段。
